The Grey Area has a lot of psychedelic elements embedded within their hyper sensual bluesy-progressive music. The two-piece band from Washington D.C’s chord progressions are well composed and powerfully energetic in songs like, “(What You) Do (To) Me”. The Grey Area’s EP, 508 would be great to hear blaring out of a 1964 red convertible Ford stereo, while cruising on the way to New Orleans.
This band’s music is interesting and pleasant to listen to and it has captivated audiences enough to have been nominated for many local music awards in Washington DC. You should definitely check them out if you like The White Stripes and Black Keys.
