Starting in Liverpool, through different bands and with The Beatles, it’s all part of the journey. There were other possibilities, but this is the path I followed, and I’m still on it.” Burnett emphasized Starr’s musical identity and the collaborative direction of the recordings: “I’ve always considered Ringo’s playing and singing to reflect a strong connection to American roots traditions, particularly Texas music.
This project brings together established artistry with a younger generation of musicians working in and around Nashville.”The album is structured in two parts and includes the following tracks: Returning Without Tears; Baby Don’t Go; I Don’t See Me in Your Eyes Anymore; It’s Been Too Long; Why; You and I (Wave of Love); My Baby Don’t Want Nothing; Choose Love; She’s Gone; Long Long Road.
